National Acne Awareness Month (NAAM) CME Program

In 2009 the American Acne and Rosacea Society founded National Acne Awareness Month (NAAM), to be held annually during the month of June.  The NAAM initiative encompasses an extensive plan of unbranded educational and public relations campaigns to raise awareness of acne.  All AARS-sponsored NAAM programs are directed toward two main goals: increasing public awareness about acne and promoting education of healthcare professionals about acne and its management.  For two consecutive years, Galderma Laboratories provided an unrestricted education grant to support this initiative by the AARS.

To celebrate National Acne Awareness Month 2010, the AARS provided a series of CME certified webinars. These webinars were lead by AARS Board of Directors and members who are recognized experts in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of acne vulgaris. Each webinar was worth 1/2 AMA PRA Category CreditTM and was followed by a question and answer segment.
